We're here in the heart of one of the richest cities in the world, Seoul. The capital of South Korea, a sprawling metropolis where hyper-modern skyscrapers, high-tech subways, pop music & culture meet Buddhist temples, palaces and street markets.
Choppers await to take our new castaways just south of here, in the middle of the Korea Strait to the island of Cheju Do, one of the nine provinces of South Korea. The island itself is one gigantic, dormant volcano. Known as Korea's scenic and mystical island of spirits, the Hallasan National Park is our destination, and it is there our thirtieth season will take place.
For thousands of years, Cheju evolved from the mainland in its language, native religious customs, agriculture, and other ways of life. In a landscape of surreal volcanic rock formations, thick jungle-forests, and gushing waterfalls, this is their new home. The native and endangered king cherry inspire festivals throughout the island during this time of year in preparation for winter, which makes for a perfect location to celebrate our 30th installment. Sixteen castaways have already been divided into two competing tribes, Joseon & Yuan. It is the ultimate experiment. A group of online Survivor fans forced to work together to win challenges for safety, while battling the elements and each other.
The Joseon tribe will wear the black buff and consists of; The Yuan tribe will wear the orange buff and consists of;
Over the next thirty-nine days they will be put to test like never before, as they try to out Outwit, Outplay and Outlast. They must learn to adapt at whatever pops out at them, or they'll be voted out of the tribe. In the end only one will remain to claim the title of Sole iSurv1vor.

Sixteen castaways, two tribes, and every third night a torch will be snuffed. iSurv1vor has taken a back to basics route this season, but it wouldn't be iS without a few pops here and there. A new role introduced this season, distinct and specific for this celebratory season. Unbeknownst to the community at the time, but during the voting process of which viewer they wanted to see become King Cherry, they were simultaneously voting for the first finalist of this season. There are three finalists spots open this season, one has already been taken. Dennis, is King Cherry, and a finalist of iSurv1vor Cheju Do. Pop! However, his status is not permanent. This is how the role of King Cherry works;

1. The King Cherry will live at whichever camp of their choosing at whatever time, and can come and go as they please. This means they have access to communicate with anyone in the game. They must stick to the no cross-tribal-communication rule whilst away from another camp, no ifs, ands, or buts.
2. The King Cherry will vote at every Tribal Council, unless otherwise stated.
3. The King Cherry will not partake in Immunity Challenges, but will back a specific tribe to win.
4. If the King Cherry backs the winning tribe, then they remain King Cherry, plain and simple, easy ride further into the game. However, if the King Cherry backs a tribe and that tribe ends up losing the challenge, we move on to what we call a;

This quiz is presented to the losing tribe. It's not really a quiz but moreso a question. Don't mind the verbage here people! Do you want to become The Cherry King? Yes or No
Voting 'No' means you are content with how your game is currently situated. No pop needed. Voting 'Yes' will automatically ignite what we call a;

Time to get dirty.
A Pop Battle occurs before a Tribal Council. All the castaways who voted 'Yes' in the Pop Quiz will face off against the reigning King Cherry, which to start off this season is, Dennis, in an epic duel-styled competition. Winner either becomes the new King Cherry or remains King Cherry. Now, if you're willing to pop the bubble and enter into a battle, be ready to win. On the line is your vote at the coming tribal council. Losing means you enter Tribal Council vulnerable without a parchment, meaning no vote. So, if you want to become King Cherry before a Tribal Council, win. Winning means - you become King. Any King defeated in battle will simply replace their victor on whichever tribe they are coming from. So, if our first and current King ever loses a Battle, he will lose his Kingdom to another and transition into a regular player in the game.

Whomever has the title of King Cherry on day 33 of this game will spend that last 6 days of iSurv1vor atop Mt.Jeju, where the Final Tribal Council will take place. There, King Cherry will remain until two other finalists have been crowned. A lot to think about this first day in the game. Dennis, enjoy your crown. Let the games begin. #dirty30
